scholarship project

One in five children at our school, now 195, come from extremely poor backgrounds and receive a full scholarship from Soleil d'Afrique for the full twelve years of schooling. Depending on the grade level, this averages 360 CHF per year and includes school fees, books, uniforms, shoes, food, and bus transportation. Sixteen new scholarship students are accepted each year. After consulting with the school, the foundation is currently working on additional tutoring, trial days for non-university careers, and on-site psychological support to meet the needs of the children receiving scholarships.
